It’s essential for patients and their owners to be aware of these procedures to ensure a smooth and efficient treatment process. Here’s a summary of the main points:
All clients must present a legal ID and proof of ownership or decision-making authority.
New patients should contact DKVH to arrange an appointment.
In case of emergencies, clients should call first to ensure the availability of emergency services.
Treatment information will be provided only to the registered person or all family members at once to follow privacy guidelines and prevent miscommunications.
Owners can visit hospitalized patients between 8 AM to 8 PM with prior arrangements. Patient discharges will be between 8 AM to 8 PM unless there’s a special medical condition and under veterinary supervision.
Issuing a prescription for an external pharmacist is subject to a fee.
Invoices for hospitalized periods must be paid in advance using a credit card. Treatment can only begin after signing estimate and consent forms and paying the full invoice.
Providing detailed information about the pet’s treatment history, including the regular veterinarian’s information and full medical records, is essential for better treatment options.
The DKVH team will provide assessments, diagnostic procedures, treatment options, and estimates. Treatment advice can only be given after a proper examination and diagnostic procedures, not over the phone.
DKVH provides 24-hour services to boarding pets and hospitalized patients but may not be available for accepting new patients 24/7.
For boarding and hotel guests, admission and discharge hours are from 8 AM to 8 PM.
Make sure to buy the right medicine or food for your pet, as DKVH does not accept returns for food or medicines. Food sales are available from 8 AM to 8 PM, and there is no 24-hour service for selling food or products.
DKVH accepts all major credit cards and debit cards but does not accept cheques or e-transfers. There are no payment plans available.
Emergency fees apply to short notice, same-day appointments, after-hours visits, weekends, and holidays, and non-regular client appointments.
